As I sit here with tears of joy to talk about a great awesome woman of God who is my spiritual mother, Doctor Shirley McClerklin-Motley, I first of all want to thank my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ for giving me this opportunity to talk about my mother in The Gospel.  But before I go any further, not only do I want to think God for allowing her to be my mom but I want to say thank you to all of her children, who shared their mother with so many including me. I look at the different titles that I now possess Pastor Terry Wells who's now a business owner of different businesses, who has its own book that he has authored, a documentary series, and also movies and film producing. As I look, and kind of chuckle, where people try to take credit for these accomplishments, I must say that first of all God gets all the glory but I give the credit to my spiritual mother Dr. Motley for nurturing and giving me opportunities from the beginning. For it was she who was there at the beginning when the Lord saved me. It was Dr Motley, who recognized the gifts that God had placed in my life and she came and told me “Terry the Lord wants me to show you how to not only reach people from a spiritual aspect but also how to reach individuals in the marketplace, motivational speaking, conferences, etc.” And now with understanding I realize what she meant. She meant God wants to give you balance so you're able to reach the masses on a larger scale. It was Dr. Motley who started the gang intervention conferences with the West Metro Youth Leadership Institute out of West Columbia. It was Dr. Motley, who had conferences with judge Greg Mathis, and she said Terry I want to give you this opportunity to speak at these conferences with judge Mathis.  At that time and people couldn't understand how a young man like myself given those opportunities. Well Dr motley was the one who gave me those opportunities, those chances, and I want to say today thank you Mommy for all that you've done how you love me you never judged me but most of all for your prayers your support your intercession and I'll never forget while we were in prayer one thing that you stated to me that was so profound you said “Terry the Lord said he's going to keep you this time” and you also said “Though you suffered with him you shall reign with him and you said son you're going to reign with him.” I also want to say thank you Mom for allowing me to become your student thank you for allowing me to cut your grass for imparting wisdom knowledge and understanding thank you for allowing me to just sit at your feet and learn and yet I'm still learning from the wisdom and knowledge that the Lord has given you and for that I'll forever be grateful to all that you are in my life. I pray that you will continue to be in my life. That is to say, take away the titles you'll always be mom. There's so much more I could say but these words are written on the tables of my heart. I pray that others will recognize all that you are in the kingdom for you or worthy of double honor. May the Lord give you your reward here on Earth as it is in heaven. To God be the glory and I say thanks again for giving me this privilege.
